Zoe Ferguson
Psychologist
Hi, my name is Zoe, and I am a registered psychologist who has been working with The Mindful Centre since 2023. I enjoy working with different people and across a range of mental health issues. I have worked with NDIS and other third-parties such as TAC and Workcover, and understand the process, helping people navigate these difficult times by building a solid rapport, connecting to goals and engaging in the therapy process and achieving functional outcomes. Mental health is so diverse, and I am passionate about helping you achieve your goals in life and reducing symptoms of depression, stress, anxiety, or those impacted by addiction or challenging relationships. Together through a collaborative therapeutic alliance I enhance and foster growth, assist you to set goals, and guide and teach you how to reduce psychological distress. This process often includes identifying and exploring family dynamics and history, unhelpful beliefs and patterns of behaviour, motivation and barriers for change and acceptance, whilst embracing the process of committing to a more meaningful life.
My primary skills are in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and integrative approaches with a client-centred and at times solution-focussed emphasis to tailor treatment for you. I believe that every person seeking help brings a unique history and therefore requires an individualised treatment approach.
As challenging and confronting as seeking help can be, you can be confident that you will be treated with an empathetic, non-judgemental, and warm approach. I welcome individuals from all walks of life, further believing in the importance of establishing sound rapport and a therapeutic alliance based on mutual respect and understanding, empowering everyone to be active collaborators in their therapeutic process.
