We understand that living with a psychosocial disability can be lonely, and physically and mentally challenging-but it does not have to be.

At The Mindful Centre, we believe that each individual has the ability to improve their mental and physical health by learning to make mindful choices. Our team of psychologists are dedicated to fostering growth and awareness of individual strengths and limitations, to enable you to live with purpose and vitality.

What we aim to help you achieve:

  • Improving your wellbeing through personalised treatment plans

  • Psycho-education on the importance of mindfulness and positive psychology, in adjusting and adapting to your chronic illness

  • Holistic support by liaising with key stakeholders

Who can we help?

We currently have capacity for clients who are plan managed or self-managed under the National Disability Insurance Scheme. Our psychology services are available to adolescents aged 16 years and above who have one or more chronic illnesses. This includes (but is not limited to): Multiple Sclerosis, chronic pain, cancer, intellectual disability or an autism spectrum disorder.

This includes providing support for individuals that require:

  • Assistance with daily life

  • Increased social/community participation

  • Improved life choices, relationships, health and wellbeing
