Anastasia

I am a registered Psychologist, with over thirty years of experience specialising in couple and family therapy, psychotherapy, as well as trauma-informed therapy.   I have a portfolio career of working across many sectors; medical, educational, Not-for-profit, government, corporate, and community, as well as many years in private practice to reach people no matter where you live or work in Australia.

I am passionate about therapy and approach it with humanitarian values, deep listening, care and life's learnings philosophy and bring it back to evidence based and trauma-informed practice.  I also take a transformational lens to help with work-related issues and challenges helping people move through personal and psychological growth and change.  I have mentored leaders and executives who experience a lot of pressure in their roles and help them gain a life balance. This allows people to regain intimacy and connection in their lives as well without losing their sense of being high achievers.

I have also supported people to cope with toxic work environments and to manage and find solutions to their work issues.  I have supported people who face loss and grief, the challenges of relationship issues as well as marital separation.  I have expertise in helping people who are experiencing anxiety and depression, addictions and dependencies, sleep problems and assisting parents to cope with behavioural issues with their children and teenagers.  I am also trained as a specialist family violence practitioner, and an EMDR therapist.  I engage in a trusting dialogue about goals and needs and work collaboratively with each person or couple, to engage directly on a personal and psychological journey geared towards change and growth, that is based on a mutual commitment.  I am inclusive in my practice and value diversity and connection to the rainbow community, first nations communities and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
